YOUTH CREATE MEDIA PROJECT
Youth Create Media Project is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in exploring leadership, self-expression, and their local community through the creation of a collaborative video piece using a flip-video camera. Schools must identify four to five students and an adult advisor to participate, that can invest approximately 20 hours of time to the program, and present the final piece at The New School on June 3rd. Schools get to keep the camera!
Students and teacher advisors will participate in a local youth media screening in NYC and two workshops on Media Literacy and Media Production.
